How Lineage 2 impacted my life
This article was triggered by DJ_Pamean from Lineage radio, who started a new discussion on lineage radio forums for his show.
Well my story of how I started playing L2 is described in the previous article here. I wanted to play L2 on official servers since I saw the first in-game screen shot and my dream came true after a year or so. I am very glad that I started playing this great game and I never felt regret that I spend a lot of my time and money on it. Yes, L2 affected my life as all the other things that happen to people, or may be even more.
But I don’t treat L2 as something special like as a meaning of life or something. A game will always be a game. A games goal is to relax people and entertain them, so if I return from work tired, want to get away from my RL problems or just want to kill time - L2 it is. If it comes to choose RL or L2 I’d definitely choose the first, be course it’s more important…we live in RL and we must pay close attention to it. For example after a few months of playing L2 my studies started and I had some problems with my exams (and they still persist, but in a less state) so I cut down my L2 playing time…I was playing L2 for like 12 hours a month for 4 months then…I don’t skip work just be course of L2, but I skipped work today, just be course I didn’t want to go…and I spent my time in L2.
I am really thankful to L2 for lots of good people I’ve met. Now I have plans of visiting Russia this summer to see my clannies in Moscow (I really hope that all goes well and I will visit them). Thanks to L2 I’ve started listening to L2radio and made good friends there also. I am really thankful for that I’ve met such people like Jess, MustangSally, Pamean, Hippie, Arckrin, Angelotje and many-many more, who spent their time chatting with me, talking about life, giving me advice (thanks MustangSally), which changed my views on RL and helped me a lot.
I am really proud of that I’ve stumbled upon such great people across the world and L2 helped me finding them.

Wow! This is good post, Kukish! As I read it I found many clever thoughts.It’s a pity, but I can’t join you playing Lineage2 on official server.. I cannot join you in Lineage2 at all, but you posts make me think that I’m playing Lineage or something close. Due to your stories I feel myself “in theme” of Lineage2 life.

well I’m trying to, but just don’t have the time…Prepared some drafts though. I guess I’ll just sit one night and finish them all.
A and it’s a great pity that you can’t join me. I can remember the time when we played together and it really was a great time.
